The Government of Queensland has granted Liquefied Natural Gas Limited pipeline license (PPL) 161.
The Companyº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s wholly owned subsidiary, Gladstone LNG Pty Ltd is now able to connect future gas supply from the Callide Infrastructure Corridor to the companyº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s wholly owned LNG project at Fishermans Landing, in the Port of Gladstone.
The pipeline will initially be capable of supplying 520 TJ/day (180 PJ/year) for the 3 million tpa LNG Project but has expansion capabilities.
Australia is poised to become the premier exporter of LNG in the Asia-Pacific region as there are numerous LNG projects in development, some observers have predicted that Australia may overtake Qatar as the worldº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s biggest exporter in the next decade, assuming all the slated projects go ahead smoothly.
