Rachel Notley, Albertaº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s Premier, stated that there must not be any unwarranted federal setbacks with regards to the construction of pipelines, which will see the transportation of oil and/or gas to international markets.

Notley declared: º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍøœWeº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™re just going to continue to work hard to make the case for why all of Canada needs this pipeline or a pipeline to get to tidewater and then a decision has to be made. We just canº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™t dither on this for a lot longer.º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø

Even with First Nations, environmental groups and politicians opposing pipeline projects, such as Enbridgeº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s Northern Gateway pipeline and Kinder Morganº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s Trans Mountain expansion project, Notley said she will continue to relay the reasons as to why itº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s important Canada has a pipeline to transport its oil to ports, which will then be sold to international markets.

She explained: "Frankly, if I was in the federal government, I would not shut down any of my options until I knew I had one option that's successful. But that's me.º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø

Notley hopes to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau soon, upon his visit to the Calgary Stampede.
