The National Energy Board has launched an interactive pipeline incident map to collate data for spills, fires, injuries and other events over the past eight years.
The Calgary-based NEB says some data is missing in the map because it won't include any information the board hasnº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™t yet investigated and verified.
Users can filter the information by location, the company involved and volumes released in spills.
The map shows 692 incidents across Canada since 2008 º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø“ 45 of those are deemed 'significant.'
The key denotes the type of incident º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø“ whether that be an oil spill, serious injury or fire º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø“ with a colour-coded dot over the location.
The NEB says map updates will be carried out quarterly, with the next one slated for July.
