An oil spill in Moscowº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s river Moskva caught fire on 12 August, sending black smoke across the city, and a few injured people to hospital.

The underwater pipeline º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø“ which transports oil to the local Moscow refinery º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø“ allegedly burst and is said to have been the cause of the fire.

However, officials have disclosed that the river was set alight after a nearby grass fire reached the oil in the river, having leaked from the pipeline.
