AFPM responds to Keystone XL rejection

The posted the following statement on Friday, following President ObamadzԹs rejection of the Keystone Xl pipeline project:

dzԹWe are disappointed that President Obama, in a purely political move to improve his standing with environmental special-interest groups ahead of the Paris climate discussion, decided to reject a project that would provide the US with a stable energy source from a trusted partner for years to come. The PresidentdzԹs rejection of Keystone XL comes despite strong Congressional and public support for the project, and the State DepartmentdzԹs long-standing recognition that the pipeline would have no impact on the environment.

dzԹPresident ObamadzԹs attack on oil and natural gas was misguided since they in fact make modern life possible, improving the lives of billions of people around the world. In this country emissions continue to decrease dramatically, due in large part to more energy-efficient technology developed by the oil and natural gas industries.dzԹ
