World º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø,

The National Energy Board (NEB) has developed a Board Member Operating Model that defines and clarifies Board Member responsibilities, accountabilities, and expectations as they fulfil their regulatory and non-regulatory roles.

Implementation of the new Board Member Operating Model is a significant step forward in the NEBº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s ambitious transformation plans to strengthen regulatory operations, increase transparency and better engage Canadians.

The new Board Member Operating Model applies to both full-time and temporary Board Members and includes responsibilities to engage directly with Canadians, outside Board Member formal adjudicative role.

The Board Member Operating Model supports the NEBº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™s Strategic Priorities, which are:

  • Take action on safety.
  • Engage with Canadians.
  • Lead regulatory excellence.
