Volvo XC60 2011 Review
2011 Volvo XC60 Forum
With the introduction of Volvo XC60 to the market, it was clear that Volvo was targeting the high end society against competitors like Cadillac SRX and the Q5 Audi SUVs; with the SRX and Q5 emerging as the smaller sisters of the Escalade and Q7 respectively, it was up to Volvo to introduce the smaller version of the XC90 but launching the XC60 Crossover SUV that, for us at Volvo-XC60.com, defies all odds and expectations… at least regardless of the fuel consumption that the turbocharged engine causes to the XC60 mpg rate.
With 2 five-cylinder XC60 diesel models being supplied, the front-wheel drive D3 and the 4-wheel drive D5 Volvo cars are both capable of providing a good pace, but still, they lack on flexibility versus the contenders that wouldn’t set the automatic gearboxes as an optional feature.
With the Volvo XC60 T5 petrol version, the all-wheel drive powered by 3 litres T6 petrol engine looks pomising, given the fact that it has enough vigor to outcome obstacles and to round off the choice of luxury SUV category.
Riding a Volvo XC60 is a Thumbs-up experience; handed 4 out of 5 stars, the 2011 XC60 reviews speak for themselves about the Swedish re-designed Volvo and its 4-wheel drive train. the XC60 offers high-quality view and favors a better clearance whilst being driven. The large alloy wheels and European Style will allow the 2011 Volvo to hit the roads with pride after ranking 2nd in the votes for the Top luxury SUV.
Standard model of the XC60 is a little bit slow but still, the ride is relaxing and smooth despite a clear lack of power that reminds us of the Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4. With great handling and grip, the body bending into twists and corners is greatly managed thanks to the weight distribution and suspension too. The XC60 R-Design models are definitely to sacrifice the extra comfort features for a better stability, harder suspension and sharper steering.
One thing we’re sure of, is that you will less likely find such refined cars in this class of SUVs; the XC60 2011 price is also competitive whereas the car has been named as the Most secure SUV in the world in this category of compact luxury SUVs.
The absence of noises caused by the suspension, tyres and engine compartments remain the most impressive aspects offered by Volvo 2011 vehicles eventhough the 5-cylinder diesel engines are a bit too stern.
