Amidst the oft-heard rhetoric and ballyhoo regarding º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø˜change,º£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™ 2009 proved to be challenging not only for American refiners, but for other businesses and the global economy as a whole. A look ahead to 2010 reveals that despite, or in some instances, perhaps due to, policymakersº£½Ç³Ô¹ÏÍø™ efforts to mitigate some of these challenges, the path forward remains somewhat uncertain, and by no means easy. The coming months, however, may well see developments in a number of areas that will have significant, long term consequences for American energy producers, consumers, and the overall economy.
