The meeting
Today in Ukhta, Alexey Miller dzԹ Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee dzԹ held a meeting dedicated to the construction of the Ukhta dzԹ Torzhok-2 gas main.
Taking part in the meeting were Members of the Management Committee, heads of Gazprom's specialised structural units and subsidiaries.
Nord Stream II
It was highlighted that Gazprom, jointly with its foreign partners, resolved to construct a new export gas pipeline dzԹ Nord Stream II. It is necessary to develop the northern corridor of the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia in order to secure gas supplies into this gas pipeline.
Constructing the pipeline
The construction of the Ukhta dzԹ Torzhok-2 gas main is a top priority of this work. Its length will be nearly 970 km, design capacity dzԹ 45 billion m3/y of gas. As of today, the detailed design documentation for the linear section is developed. Forest-clearing started along the gas main route. The results of bidding competitions for the construction of the first five sections (over 500 km in length) will be announced very soon.
Eight gas compressor stations with an aggregate capacity of 689 MW are planned to be built along the Ukhta dzԹ Torzhok-2 gas pipeline route.

dzԹGazprom takes extensive efforts within the Ukhta dzԹ Torzhok-2 project. Tasks have been assigned and deadlines have been set. The gas pipeline will be built and completed by the 2019 end. This also pertains to the rest of the gas transmission facilities located along Bovanenkovo to Nord Stream II.dzԹ
